Hajime Hosogai scores in Semifinals of the Asian Cup!

Hajime Hosogai who was recently signed by Bayer 04 and will be loaned out to FC Augsburg scored the 2:1 for Japan in extra-time against South Korea.  Japan received a goal in the 120th minute but managed to win clearly in penalties.

Hajime had only played before 2 minutes against Syria in the group-stage.  Yesterday he was on the field for the entire extra-time replacing Dortmund’s Kagawa.

Japan will meet Australia in the final on Saturday!

  1. Great game between Japan and S. Korea…..and nice to see so many Bundesliga players on the field. Hoping Hosogai adjusts well on loan at FC Augsburg and can contribute at Leverkusen next year.

  2. Germany seems to be main destination for japanese players 😉

Hosogai is loaned out for a year and a half, so we will have to wait till season 2012/13 to see him play for us 😉
His contract expires in the summer of 2013, doesn’t make much sense to me.
